BE YOURSELF & LOVE WHAT YOU DO

About Me:

My Artistic Background: Art has been an important part of my life ever since I was a child. At 18 months old, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and given a one in three chance of surviving five years. What followed were numerous doctor visits, surgeries, radiation treatments, and hospital stays. I gravitated towards art as a coping mechanism and as a way to express myself when I could not communicate with words. In school, I initially struggled with reading comprehension so I created comic strips and storyboards with captions to aid my memory. Through using art, I was able to overcome my disabilities and achieve unlikely success. My artistic passion and talent culminated in winning a Boston Globe Scholastic Arts Gold Key Award in high school along with other remarkable achievements to this day. My experience created a connection for me to art and design. I know first hand the value of developing visuals and how they can create a certain level of communication for people.

My Experience: I am a well-rounded graphic designer and artist who loves being creative in all ways– whether that be in graphic design, illustration, painting, photography, or mixed media. I have over a decade of experience working in both agency and in-house environments. I have produced creative solutions from concept through production for internal and external clients in print and web design.

My Creative Process: My creative process involves listening to clients, asking questions, performing research, solving problems, paying attention to detail, and making adjustments along the way to develop a deliverable piece that satisfies the client and achieves their goals. I believe communication is essential in design.

My Strengths: My strengths are meeting marketing goals, driving revenue, building brands through strong visuals, and engaging consumers.

How I Think: I like to think outside of the box and bring brands to life by incorporating visual consistency in collateral using shapes, angles, colors, typography, white space, structure, and imagery into the designs.

My Aspirations: I am inspired by motivated and supportive people who want to make a positive impact in the world. I desire to work in a collaborative environment with like minded people where I can engage with others and work on a variety of creative projects. I thrive by being energetic, having the willingness to learn, and pushing the creative process by taking a different approach to design.

What Excites Me: Outside of work, I enjoy music, dancing, art, traveling, nature, the ocean, mindfulness, reiki, yoga, energy healing, family, friends, doing what I love and being grateful for what and whom I have in my life.
